CCF – Clay Cutter
The Clay Cutter is designed to ensure precise, safe and continuous cutting of clay pieces from the extruded billet coming from the spinneret, preparing them for placement in moulds or plaster forms for plastic forming processes such as pressing or roller forming.
The cutting length is defined directly by the operator, allowing full flexibility to adapt to different production requirements. Cutting is performed by a stainless steel wire actuated by a pneumatic cylinder, guaranteeing clean, consistent and repeatable cuts.
A precision encoder mounted on the drive roller ensures continuous and adjustable cutting, delivering smooth and uniform results without interruptions. Side guides keep the clay perfectly aligned throughout the process, ensuring dimensional accuracy for every piece.
Operator safety is a key feature of this machine. A safety sensor immediately stops the cutter if the operator’s hand enters the detection area, while a fully enclosed safety cage provides maximum protection. The access door with safety sensor allows quick and secure adjustments, and a dedicated safety mode for wire replacement makes setup fast, easy and safe.
The Clay Cutter is built for reliability and industrial performance, consisting of a geared motor, pneumatic cylinder, electrical control panel, solenoid valve, pressure regulator and pneumatic system, ensuring efficient operation and long-term durability in demanding ceramic production environments.
