FP – Filter Press
The filter press is a machine designed to remove excess water from ceramic body clays by means of filter plates compressed by a hydraulic cylinder.
RJC manufactures filter presses with plate sizes ranging from 800 × 800 up to a maximum of 1200 × 1200. The number of plates varies according to the production capacity per cycle, which is approximately between 2.5 and 5 tonnes.
Our body clay production equipment is designed for operating pressures of up to 300 bar (hydraulic), with a safety pressure of up to 350 bar, and a feed pressure of up to 16 bar on the filtering elements.
The systems can be supplied with automatic plate opening and can be integrated into complete production lines, including a reception box for filter cakes, conveying systems, cake cutting units, feeding belts to a vacuum extruder and cutting of clay pugs, as well as automatic palletising of the clay pugs. We can also supply mixing tanks, turbo agitators, slow-speed agitators, sieves, and low- and high-pressure pumps for filter press feeding.
